Two venues stand out for a proper Sunday carvery in and around Portrush. Both get busy, so book ahead.
Royal Court Hotel — a four-course Sunday lunch from 12:30pm–4pm: starters, the carvery itself (roasted meats and all the trimmings), dessert, then tea or coffee. Unusually, they also run their carvery daily rather than just on Sundays, with a separate evening menu from 4pm–8:30pm if you miss the sitting. Fully licensed bar. Bushtown Hotel — two options under one roof. Upstairs runs a 5-course carvery from 12pm–7pm; downstairs has a simpler “One & Done” option from 12pm–3pm if you want something quicker. Senior pricing is available.
Both draw on local Causeway Coast produce for the meat and veg. Given how busy Sunday lunch gets here — locals and visitors both — booking ahead isn’t optional if you want a table at a reasonable hour.
